As Training Manager for UK and Ireland Chris covers the structured training for bodyshop personnel, distribution partners and internal training covering technical awareness. Chris's support extends beyond the training centre and he is heavily involved in onsite customer training focusing on improving customers efficiency and knowledge in right first time processes.

Chris is also involved in product development and testing to ensure customers get the best product possible.

Chris Pennell describes what motivates him in his role "I am motivated by the desire to change things, even if something works it can be improved. Our industry can be resistant to this, change can only happen through the desire to want to. The desire can only be created by proving what we say works. This is what motivates me, if I can prove it…. I can change it "

Following assessment by eleven industry experts with a broad range of experience, Chris has been selected as one of only 4 people for the 'Best supporting role' category, highlighting his commitment to the industry.

The winner of the 'Education and Training Award' will be announced at the Bodyshop Awards on Friday 20th September
