Spectrum Vehicle Repairers utilise TURBO VISION® for BBC Children in Need

BBC Children in Need, a British institution, has raised money for young people in the UK that need help for over half a century. Their mission is to “ensure that every child in the UK is safe, happy, secure and has the opportunities they need to reach their potential”. With that being said, BBC Children in Need hit an amazing milestone in 2018, £1 billion raised which has funded over 2,500 local charities and projects that directly support children and young people who are affected by a whole range of disadvantages such as poverty, disability, illness, distress or trauma.

The iconic yellow of the BBC Children in Need mascot “Pudsey Bear”, known to all British children from a young age, needed to be recreated to the highest degree of accuracy and quality, this is where TURBO VISION® provided the perfect solution for Spectrum’s charitable task. The superior coverage, gloss level and colour matching capabilities of the next gen commercial transport paint line has been the coating technology of choice for Spectrum since it’s launch in 2017.

Spectrum, an expert in commercial vehicle repair for over 35 years, serving the M25, London and South East across 3 purpose-built, state of the art workshops carried out the work for BBC Children in Need free of charge. Their expertise allowed them to create a work of art that will help raise money for the ever-loved charity and will be instantly be recognisable on British roads.

PPG, a leading global coatings manufacturer, prides itself in donating to worthy charitable causes, investing $13 million in 2020 to address the needs of local communities in the US and internationally. £2320 worth of Turbo Vision was donated to support Spectrum’s project, an easy choice for Martin Laugharne, sales manager South East, "We are extremely proud to be partners with one of the UK’s leading commercial vehicle repair groups, Spectrum’s dedication to quality repairs has resulted in a fantastic end result for BBC Children in Need and we are pleased that we could support this project with the donation".
